It’s the responsibility of every business and every individual to do their bit to tackle the enormous challenges of climate change. Over the last 18 months we have taken enormous steps towards restructuring our goals as we strongly believe that a successful business is a responsible business.

Our commitment to sea shipping, bulk packaging and energy efficiency is already in effect. Our recent servicing of large NHS accounts saw us tray over 250,000 instrument sets, passing on huge labour savings to the customer and removing the need for the disposal of 3,000,000 cardboard and plastic packs.

Over 70% of our sales force has already been converted to our incentive driven ‘green car’ policy and by providing our Basildon staff with a free bus service from the local train station, we remove a further 15 cars from the road.

We are making efforts to ensure that any new product developments are designed with environmental impact in mind. Our latest laryngoscope handles Callisto S and Europa S are of a lightweight plastic design and by decreasing their weight we have not only reduced their environmental impact, but provided hospitals with a cost saving on their waste management.

By encouraging and supporting our suppliers in this joint goal, we’ll extend this plan of action across the world. Our declarations and ethical policies ensure that we deliver a product that is both competitively priced and ethically produced.

There is still a long way to go and at this stage there is still much more we could do, but as a company we are committed to making our mark in the health service one that we are proud of.
